Hamza & Madina Halal Food is a restaurant in Hempstead, New York. It is listed at 729 Fulton Ave, Hempstead, NY 11550, which places it among the local businesses of Hempstead that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as fast food restaurant, gyro restaurant, halal restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 10 am–3 am. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (516) 485-1000. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, hamzamadina.com.

Hempstead is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Hempstead is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Black plastic found in my chicken and rice. Not very clean inside, a lot of flies flying around, salad and fries not covered so it’s just exposed to the flies. Definitely get from another location I don’t recommend this one

I clearly stated on my instructions to put the white sauce on the rice first and leave the bbq and hot sauce on the side. I also was supposed to get fries on my platter but it didn't come with any. Im not sure why they couldn't follow the simple request but it's so frustrating because I was sharing this with someone who likes to control how sweet/spicy they want their platter to be. Im not sure why the custom instructions is even an option of theyre just going to ignore it. Really neglectful service. Food was meh, price is alright.

Delicious food. The chicken is tender and nicely marinated. The rice by itself (without the white sauce) is a little dry, but delicious. Asking for extra rice on your platter is free. I recommend the chicken platter or the combo platter. The falafel pieces are puck-shaped. They are very crunchy on the outside, and are quite good by themselves without needing to add sauces. The dessert kheer is also quite tasty, and the Baklava is flaky and sweet, with plenty of nuts. Yasir (one of the employees) is very friendly and remembers repeat customers.

A clean and cozy restaurant. I ordered falafel sandwich with salad and hummus. The sandwich was delicious. Fast service and welcoming staff. There is no parking on the street but there is a parking lot in the back. One problem is there is no bathroom.
